Linden Wood is a seasoned entrepreneur and network marketing leader with a track record of building organizations at extraordinary speed. Starting in 1993 at age 27 with Excel Communications, he grew a downline of over 100,000 representatives in under three years — a pace the company said was the fastest they had ever seen. At his peak, his combined monthly checks exceeded $550,000, growing from virtually nothing in roughly 18 months. His success came not from recruiting alone, but from building real leadership infrastructure: communication systems, leadership development frameworks, and a principle-based approach to momentum that allowed for explosive, geometric growth.
After Excel, Linden co-founded a WorldConnect Communications in 1996, a network marketing company that grew to over $200 million in annual revenue within three years, securing contracts with industry giants including AT&T, Nextel, Dish Network, and Quest. He then turned his attention to franchising, launching Shape Express for Women in 2003-2004 and scaling it to 180 open clubs with 400 licenses sold — earning recognition as one of the top 15 fastest-growing franchise systems in the country before selling the company in 2008. Across his career, he has built organizations totaling over 175,000 representatives and has been featured in industry publications, recognized by the Tulsa mayor's office, and spoke before the Oklahoma legislature on telecommunications.
Linden attributes his consistent success to a core set of what he calls momentum principles — developing people, communicating with skill, moving with speed and massive action, and always focusing on others' success before his own. His belief: when leaders stop making it about themselves and start asking "what can I do for my organization today," growth becomes inevitable. These principles, he maintains, are timeless — human nature hasn't changed, and neither has what it takes to build something great.
